Chris Leak, the 31-year-old former national champion Florida quarterback, is under investigation for an alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old-girl, the Orlando Sentinel reported Wednesday, citing Orlando police. Leak isn't yet facing criminal charges, the paper said, while police continue to investigate.
From a police investigative report, the Sentinel reports the incident in question happened Sept. 5. That report says Leak, in a training office near Edgewater's football field, emerged from a shower wearing only a towel and asked the girl to give him a massage.
More details from the report the newspaper cites:
The girl told detectives that she massaged his back legs and he asked her to massage the front of his legs, the report said.
According to the report, the girl told detectives Leak then pulled her hands up to touch his genitals.
She told police her hand grazed his genitals a few times, according to the report.
The girl then left.
He called her and eventually bought the girl some food before taking her home, the report said.
She later told a friend and Leak gave the friend $100, according to the report.
Leak started this year as the head coach at Orlando's Edgewater High School, but he resigned Monday night.
It's been nearly 10 years since Leak's Florida career ended with a BCS title game win against Ohio State. He won the 2006 season's national title on an offense that included Tim Tebow and Percy Harvin.
Leak never stuck in the NFL, and he later played professionally in Canada before eventually taking the Edgewater job for this season.
