Miami QB Brad Kaaya handed one of his teeth to a trainer and kept playing

Ouch.

ESPN

Miami junior quarterback Brad Kaaya took a hard hit from Florida State DB Matthew Thomas in the third quarter of Saturday night’s game. The hit was so hard, in fact, that one of Kaaya’s molars was knocked right out of his mouth. The tooth is in this photo, to the left of Kaaya’s hip on the field.

Miami offensive lineman Sunny Odogwu was seen shortly after picking the tooth up off of the field.

Thomas’ hit was called for targeting on the play, which was reviewed. The officials reviewed the penalty and upheld the targeting call, ejecting Thomas in the third quarter.

Let’s hope Kaaya wasn’t in too much pain following the many hits he took. I can’t even imagine doing anything after getting one of my own teeth knocked out.
