These Stanford fans were too busy reading in the stands to worry about this loss

It's important to keep yourself occupied.

Times are not good for the Stanford football team, which took a stunning blowout loss on Saturday to Washington State. It was the Cardinal's second defeat in a row, coming on the heels of a 3-0 start.

Fortunately, a couple of folks in the stands at Stanford Stadium found another way to stay engaged during the action.

We all need distractions from time to time, so let's not blame either of these readers.

The fan in the top lefthand corner of this shot is reading a paperback book, and I can't figure out by zooming in which book it is. (If you know, let us know in the comments!) The fan in the middle is dutifully perusing a newspaper, it appears.

Stanford is 3-2 and probably too far behind Washington to catch up in the Pac-12. But nobody will ever accuse Cardinal fans of failing to stay on top of current events and books.
