The Golden State Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals, leading to a full summer of jokes (very many of them by Ohioans) that led into this year’s College GameDay signs, the backgrounds of political events, and anywhere else that involved large crowds standing near TV cameras.
Now that the Cleveland Indians have also blown a 3-1 lead, it’s time for a new round.
GameDay’s in Baton Rouge for Alabama-LSU, so Tigers fans got to do the honors. There were a lot of signs noting the fact that the Cleveland Indians blew a 3-1 lead in the World Series.
But first, let us ponder this act:

The rest of the signs were not very good.
It was the usual mix of current-events jokes (Nick Saban is like the bad things about Hillary Clinton, and he’s also like the bad things about Donald Trump), Opposing Head Coach Likes Unpopular Thing jokes, jokes about a similar university having vastly inferior academics, and so forth.
But that’s ok. Internet memes about the Cleveland Indians blowing a 3-1 lead adorned many signs, so this is a good group.
Actually, this one of interim coach Ed Orgeron is very good:

And it was still better than Bama’s effort for this game last year:
