There are many ways to bet on college football, and many places willing to take those bets.
One way to bet on things is to bet on a conference champion before the season begins. One place willing to take such a wager is Bovada, whose latest odds for each FBS league are listed below.
Your Power 5 conference favorites, according to the site, are Clemson, Michigan/Ohio State, Oklahoma, Stanford and Alabama. Your non-power favorites are Houston, Southern Miss, Western Michigan, Boise State and Appalachian State/Arkansas State. Sounds about fine.
The Sooners are the biggest conference favorites here. You can bet $10 on OU in the Big 12 and win yourself $6.67, minus fees. Times are tough.
Also included are Power 5 division odds. You can bet $10 on haggard Vanderbilt to reach the SEC Championship and reap all of $250 for yourself, should the totally unthinkable occur.
(Betting on the end of the season at this point in the year is often foolish for many reasons, so the main interest here is a look at how these things stack up in an oddsmaker’s mind. Look around for the most favorable odds.)
