Tuesday, Nov. 8 is Election Day. Tensions will be high. Facebook will melt. Online will be terrible.
Tuesday, Nov. 8 is also a new day for College Football Playoff rankings. ESPN will attempt to carve an hour out of the very tense and important night in order to release a list of 25 words. Charges of SEC bias will ring throughout the land. Danny Kanell and David Pollack will get in an hours-long street fight, which Wolf Blitzer will monitor via hologram as best he can.
Here is the new rankings release schedule:
Tuesday, Nov. 1, 7-8 p.m. ET, ESPN
Tuesday, Nov. 8, 7-8 p.m. ET, ESPN
Tuesday, Nov. 15, 9-9:30 p.m. ET*, ESPN
Tuesday, Nov. 22, 7-8 p.m. ET, ESPN
Tuesday, Nov. 29, 7-7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
Sunday, Dec. 4 (Selection Day), Noon-4 p.m. ET, ESPN
*Approximate start time will be 9 p.m. from the Champions Classic basketball doubleheader at Madison Square Garden. The rankings will be revealed live between the Kentucky vs. Michigan State and Duke vs. Kansas basketball games.
I advise you to vote early and then remain indoors on that Tuesday and probably all other Tuesdays.
