The streak is over. The 11-game win streak that Florida brought into Neyland Stadium is finally over, after Tennessee overcame a 21-3 deficit to beat the Gators 38-28. In the week leading up to the game, Florida cornerback Quincy Wilson was asked about the 11-game win streak streak. He had a weird victory guarantee in his answer, one that involved ducks pulling trucks.
QW: Nobody has ever seen a duck pull a truck. Florida Gators are going to win, simple as that. That’s it on that. Any other questions?
Reporter: So are you guaranteeing a victory?
QW: Yeah, we’re going to go out there and play Gator football and win.
After Tennessee’s victory, head coach Butch Jones and his quarterback Joshua Dobbs didn’t let Wilson forget the guarantee he made. Here’s Jones during his CBS postgame interview:
Tennessee fans have to be overjoyed about this one, especially with the fashion in which the Vols were able to pull this one out. And congrats to Jones, who finally got that seemingly elusive signature win.
Even Oregon football, whose uniform combination resembled literal ducks this week, had some fun with the quote earlier this week.
Have you ever seen a Duck pull a truck?

Props to Oregon...must have taken a while to find that footage from back in 2004. #GoGators https://t.co/TJXW6jHcx0

So yeah, it sounds like this whole duck pulling a truck joke is officially a part of the Florida-Tennessee rivalry.
