Bo Pelini's scowl at Youngstown State is basically the same as it was at Nebraska

Good to see you again, old friend.

Bo Pelini is known as one of college football’s most irascible coaches. During the second quarter of Youngstown State’s FCS Championship game on Saturday against James Madison, Pelini exemplified why.

Pelini was angry with the officials about something. He has a highly distinct rage face when he’s not happy with refs. Other examples:

Pelini’s “I’m furious with a referee” face is the stuff of legends.

He’s not always mad, though. This year, he’s had a lot to be happy about, including his team’s Cinderella run to the title game. Pelini landed at YSU, his hometown school, after Nebraska fired him at the end of the 2014 season. Pelini’s boss at YSU is former Ohio State (and YSU) head coach Jim Tressel, who’s now the university president.

If Pelini ever returns to the FBS ranks, this facial expression will make more regular appearances on national TV. For now, this will have to do.
