FAU head coach Lane Kiffin is at it again. On Wednesday afternoon, a wonderfully vigilant person noticed a very interesting account that Kiffin’s official Twitter account followed. His latest follow is an “@UTCoachKiffin” account that’s promoting the former Vols head coach to return to Knoxville.

The UTCoachKiffin account has been around since last November, and it has over 500 followers. It’s hard to tell if the account is in jest or not, but bringing Kiffin back to Knoxville has been suggested by some with the uncertainty surrounding Butch Jones. In fact, Kiffin subtly responded to a tweet responding to an article calling for his return on Tuesday:
@Lane_Kiffin is #2 on my list behind Stoops. Kiff has juice and we need juice. Y'all quit bein salty bc he left. pic.twitter.com/yfYGzgK32g

The Owls’ head coach is no stranger to pulling these type of stunts on Twitter. In June after Hugh Freeze was fired from Ole Miss, Kiffin began gloriously following a bunch of Rebel handles.

And Kiffin has been trolling Tennessee fans basically ever since he left Knoxville.
Let’s make something real clear: Tennessee fans were absolutely livid after he left for the USC job in 2009 (Warning: NSFW language in the next video and photo).
Since then, he’s given booing UT fans a finger gun or thumbs up after Alabama played Tennessee a few years ago in Knoxville, when Kiffin was the Tide’s OC.
Remember when @Lane_Kiffin won the hearts of the Vol fans over in his return trip to Knoxville? Good times #RollTide https://t.co/5cP0TQChf3

In an August 2016 tweet that’s since been deleted, he linked to an article headlined: “Tennessee loaded with top-level recruits — but they’re leaving the state.”
He also would randomly want his presence to be known in Tennessee when out recruiting:

And perhaps my favorite one of all: HE WORE A DAMN ORANGE TIE TO THE 2015 BAMA-TENNESSEE GAME!
But in the end, maybe it’s all love with Lane. Like many Tennessee fans, he clearly still hasn’t let Terrence Cody’s 2009 blocked field goal go.
