Florida State is an astonishing 2-4 this season, the latest blow being a close home loss to Louisville on Saturday. For the preseason No. 3 team in the country, it’s been a brutal year. It’s bad enough that some fans are calling for the firing of Jimbo Fisher, one of four active head coaches with an FBS national title, and members of his staff.
After the Louisville game:

Fisher’s comment after the game was no comment:
"I have no comment on that...There's no reason to be nasty." - Fisher on the interaction with a fan who yelled at him after the game. #FSU

On Monday, when he was asked about the altercation, and he said he didn’t regret what happened.
Fisher on if he regrets responding to that one #FSU fan: "No. Not one bit. Because I don't expect that out of our fans in our stadium."

Those calling for Fisher’s job are a vocal minority. He’s 80-21 at FSU and will keep signing up elite recruiting classes every year. The Noles lost QB Deondre Francois in Week 1 this year and had to play a freshman afterward, and these kinds of years do happen, even at places like Florida State. But it’s still odd to see these:

FSU will not fire Jimbo. But this has been a rough two months.
