P.J. Fleck lost a bet to his wife and had to shave his head

Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck showed up to Big Ten Media Days with an interesting look. His head’s completely shaved, and it seems like he got on the wrong end of a wager with his wife.

“I lost a bet to my wife, first and foremost,” Fleck told SB Nation’s Alex Kirshner. “And then she’s always said she never wanted me to be a head coach one day that is 10 years past wanting to be able to cut his hair. You know, like, ‘Man, that guy should need to cut his hair.’ I don’t wanna be one of those guys.”

Fleck wasn’t exactly follicly challenged, but the hairline was on its way backward.

There are certainly other college football coaches with much worse noggin salads upstairs.

Fleck said he shaved it along with his sons before a family vacation to Disney World this offseason. But he wouldn’t say the terms of the actual wager.

“No. I’ll keep some things a little secret. I did lose, which means always listen to your wife, because she’s probably always right.”

But we might see it on Fleck’s upcoming ESPNU show which debuts next week.

Either way, he’ll want to grow it back pretty soon. Minnesota weather isn’t exactly conducive to a bald head.
