College football's opening weekend is a little bit weird. Technically, the season all starts Aug. 26, when seven games are televised. But many people, including ESPN (which is televising many of those Aug. 26 games), will think of the next weekend as the kickoff weekend.

Whatever. You should probably just watch some of both.

Below, the full TV and streaming schedule for the actual opening weekend, the popular opening weekend, and all the stuff in between. It's all sorted by watchability, to help you find the best games on TV in each time slot.

This early bonus Saturday is expanding by the season. Just a few years ago, it was only one FCS vs. FCS game. Now, it includes nine FBS teams, eight of them playing each other.

Florida A&M-Texas Southern is the season's first college football game on TV, so you should probably make a point of clocking in for that kickoff.

Oregon State-Colorado State will let you see a beautiful new stadium and is also the season's first FBS game. Another important milestone.

USF-San Jose State might not be all that competitive, but it's still an interesting road trip for a team widely favored to win the American and make a New Year's Six bowl under Charlie Strong.

And Stanford-Rice, which is in Australia, could be the year's least-watched games involving a potential Power 5 champ, since the Mayweather-McGregor card will be going on at the same time. At least this awkward mismatch won't cost money to watch.
