Georgia’s Sanford Stadium is getting some food improvements this fall. Fans who attend UGA home games will now get to enjoy some quality options, including Dunkin’ Donuts and Dreamland BBQ, a Texas-style barbecue place with locations in Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. DawgNation has some details:
New concessions partners Dreamland BBQ and Dunkin’ Donuts will be joining Chick-fil-A, Subway and Papa John’s Pizza, Felton said. Dreamland BBQ will be offered at nine locations throughout the stadium and will offer chopped pork and chicken sandwiches at each location, while barbecue pork nachos also will be offered at their Gate 6 Plaza stand. Dunkin’ Donuts will operate in Reed Plaza and offer hot and iced coffee and munchkins.
Additionally, Gate 6 Plaza has been turned into a food court, with Chick-fil-A, Dreamland BBQ and Papa John’s each having a stand.
But there’s one interesting (and maybe disheartening to Georgia fans) fact about this whole Dreamland thing — the original location is in Tuscaloosa, Ala., and it’s beloved by Bama fans. A lot of people noted this, including UGA rival Georgia Tech.
Hey, even we know Dreamland BBQ is really a @UOfAlabama thing. https://t.co/2vIJZJz326

WHY IN THE HELL ARE WE SERVING ALABAMA BARBECUE INSIDE OF SANFORD STADIUM?? Must we now lose to Bama on field AND at the concession stand??? https://t.co/eNG3Hu0K5u

We can't get Fresh Air? Fox Bros? Hell, any number of excellent Georgia barbecue joints would do. Gotta truck our 'cue in from Tuscaloosa?

Personally, I’ve never been to Dreamland, but I’ve heard the original location is some of the best barbecue around, and the other locations aren’t quite up to par.
So to round out this metaphor — the Tuscaloosa location is the best one. This new Georgia location probably won’t be as good as the T-Town one. Get it?

It doesn’t help that Alabama has a 38-25 record all-time against Georgia, and the Tide have won the last three meetings between the two.
As for the new Dunkin’ Donuts that’s opening in the stadium, I’m not too sure how many people are exactly craving Dunkin’ Donuts during a college football game. But, if you need some coffee for those noon kickoffs, you’re set.
