Florida pulled off an epic heartbreaking touchdown bomb to beat Tennessee at home.
But in the delirium Florida’s punter has tweeted one of the most savage of all barbs at the Vols, albeit one which isn’t unique.
Still champions of life so it's all good!!!!

This hits home doubly so.
On the one hand, it is yet another time to make fun of Tennessee for the mythical Champions Of Life mantra Butch Jones talked about last season, despite a Vols squad that had fallen short of expectations.
Jones on this senior class: "They’ve won the biggest championship – that’s the championship of life”

We made the Vols a real belt just in case. The best part about Townsend’s tweet is that Tennessee hasn’t held the award in months. We’ve tracked all the movements of it here, and now it’s going to the winner of South Carolina-Kentucky.
Here was the moment when UT lost it to Vandy:

But it’s also funny because Townsend’s brother, Tommy, used to play for Tennessee too. The younger Townsend transferred to Florida which is closer to their hometown of Orlando.
The transfer of the younger Townsend makes Tommy the heir-apparent to the Gators punting duties and gives the Gators a bit of a cushion should Johnny Townsend decide to forgo his final year of eligibility next season.
So the Townsends have quite a bit of shade to lob the Vols way, and 2017’s win over Tennessee is fuel to that fire.
