Folks, Jadeveon Clowney just gave us one of the greatest Steve Spurrier impersonations ever

Absolutely perfect.

It’s no secret that former Florida Gators and South Carolina Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier is already a college football legend. His quirky and cocky personality has been impersonated a good bit over the years.

Well folks, we have ourselves one of the best Head Ball Coach impressions we’ve seen in a while. His former player, Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, did one while he was doing an interview with some kids. Clowney was asked if he can do a southern accent, and he took the opportunity to give an unprompted Spurrier impersonation. He absolutely nailed it — it starts below right around the 1:30 mark:

[extremely good Spurrier voice]: “Hey guys, uh you know today’s going to be a hard one, so it’s hot out here, very very very hot, we’re not going to go long today, just 45 minutes today. And uh it’s going to be a quick one. Gotta get to a golf tournament today, so we’re going to get out a little early.”

Man, this is so dang good, and it’s especially impressive given that he did this pretty much on the fly. This is definitely up there with Tim Tebow’s Spurrier impersonation from a couple years ago:

Shoutout to Clowney for this glorious moment. And one last thing — these kids, who said they didn’t know who Spurrier was when Clowney asked them, need to learn who the Head Ball Coach is immediately, folks.
