Florida Gators tight end DeAndre Goolsby got some unexpected news in a surprising way on Wednesday. Expecting to play on Saturday in the home opener against the Northern Colorado Bears, Goolsby checked Twitter:
Gooslby, a senior, was listed second among tight ends on Florida’s unofficial depth chart revealed on Tuesday morning. He caught 38 passes for 342 yards in 11 games in 2016 as a junior, with three touchdown catches.
Mac specified it as a "leg" injury and said no idea when he will return. https://t.co/RJQGeBLfpg— Scott Carter (@GatorsScott) September 6, 2017
Florida moved up the game time for their opener against Northern Colorado to noon on Saturday due to the impact of Hurricane Irma in Gainesville.
