Oh man, this is the most hilarious political ad I’ve ever seen, folks.
On Thursday, Jason Emert, a Republcian candidate running for Congress in Tennessee, posted an ad directly trolling Butch Jones. In it, he claims “unlike Butch Jones, when I say I’m gonna do something, I actually do it.” He also says the phrase “brick by brick,” one of Jones’ signature catchphrases, especially with recruiting. Oh, and he’s wearing a bright orange UT polo throughout the whole thing:
Check out our new ad that begins airing today. Unlike Butch Jones and career politicians, I will keep my promises to you. I will work with President Trump to build the wall, end chain migration, and make Washington work for us again! pic.twitter.com/zu1DREVIVY

“Brick by brick” and “strong foundation” were words used throughout Jones’ tenure in Knoxville, which ended in November of last year. If this ad looks familiar to Tennessee fans, well that’s because Jones once made a commercial for Farm Bureau Insurance featuring him building something literally brick by brick:
OK but back to some highlights from this ridiculous political ad, because I couldn’t help myself — first, some intense ass staring at this level:
Please observe this poorly applied mortar and crappy subsequent brick application — this wall would not hold up well, folks:
This isn’t the first time Tennessee politicians and former Vol football coaches have crossed paths. A politician in Tennessee once compared an election opponent to Lane Kiffin. Like Emert, the ad said that the candidate, like Kiffin, “made a lot of big promises to Tennesseans” and didn’t live up to their word:
How much does #Tennessee dislike Lane Kiffin? Enough that he is used in a political hit piece. [photo] #Election2014 pic.twitter.com/36h2fumDLY

Hopefully new Vol head coach Jeremy Pruitt’s career in Knoxville is successful, because you can bet some state politician will do this again with him if it doesn’t.
