Hello, this video of Colorado’s Buffalo mascot shooting himself with a t-shirt cannon has put me in tears for over five minutes, and I think you all need to watch this, too:

A couple big takeaways here — poor Chip the Buffalo — the official name for Colorado’s mascot (not Ralphie, the real, live buffalo that’s also at Colorado’s games) hit himself right below the belt with a t-shirt cannon. Those things can launch shirts pretty dang high, so I’m guessing this had to hurt a lot.
In fact, Chip had to get carted off the field after this happened on Saturday during Colorado’s game against New Hampshire:
Colorado's mascot is getting carted off the field due to some kind of injury. Really.

Something you don't see every day: Chip the Buffalo's t-shirt gun malfunctioned and he had to be carted off the field! Never took his head off though... respect the commitment #footballguy pic.twitter.com/qi0lrPM4Dk

The good news though, is that Chip — or at least someone else inside Chip the mascot suit, perhaps — came back out during the game on the sidelines.
I’m good guys! Thanks for all the love ❤️ pic.twitter.com/VK9vKm8xvM

But let’s break this video down frame-by-frame, because I think it’s necessary to do so.
I don’t know what it is about the way he’s holding the cannon, but it already doesn’t look right:
The moment it all goes wrong, and simultaneously the person in the mascot suit (probably) thinks “oh no, I have royally messed up.”
Low-key hilarious part — the dude filming Chip’s reaction to what he just witnessed firsthand:
And lastly, this judgmental hand in the final frame of this video is everything.
Stay strong, whoever you are, man in the Chip suit. Hopefully you’ll be good to go by next week.
