The San Diego Loyals’ Collin Martin talked with out gay college soccer captain Couper Gunn of the Sports Equality Foundation Friday night.

Since Gunn, who shared his Coming Out story on Outsports last month, is a TikTok star and not a journalist, he told Outsports before the event, “It’s going to be more conversation than interview,” between two out gay guys who love soccer.

Gunn told Outsports the idea was “to show queer people that it’s not only possible to make it as a queer person, but empowering,” he said.

“Can’t wait!” said Martin via Instagram.

Watch the video recording of their conversation on our YouTube channel:

“We’re going to talk about our stories and experiences with homophobia within the game and outside of it as well as our future plans,” Gunn explained.
