Fantasy Football 2012, Week 9: Running back rankings for PPR and standard leagues

This week talks about a midseason mock and what the picks might mean. Check it out.

Jeremy Brevard-US PRESSWIRE

Hey we're at the mid-point of the fantasy season! A lot has changed and there are a lot of guys that have seen their values take a hit.

Yesterday, I was invited to do a midseason mock with the entire Rotoworld football team and it was quite an eye opener. You could see which players were the favorites of one of the most knowledgeable fantasy groups around. I definitely held my own and here's how my team turned out (0.5 PPR):

1.3 Adrian Peterson

2.8 Doug Martin

3.3 Demaryius Thomas (I got a lot of groans with this pick)

4.8 Matt Stafford

5.3 Mike Wallace

6.8 Torrey Smith

7.3 Titus Young

8.8 Brandon Pettigrew

Here's list of other topics that are worth discussing:

Stevan Ridley went fifth. He has a really sweet schedule and if you don't see him as a top-10 the rest of the way, you're just hating.

The Falcons went late. The entire draft room knew that the Falcons are going to clinch early without a single mention of it. Another reason why Jacquizz Rodgers should be owned in every league.

Jonathan Stewart went 3.7. I love the Daily Show and I've traded for him in two leagues since this mock draft. Their sked is niiice.

Hakeem Nicks went 5.7. This was a surprise and I was very close to taking him over Mike Wallace, but Wallace's targets and catches are on the rise. I'd try to buy low on Nicks right now.

Randall Cobb went 6.2. How can you not love this guy?

Josh Gordon went 7.9. Evan Silva made the pick and anyone that has ever read my Waiver Wire Scoops knows I've been force feeding Gordon on potential owners all season. Good bet to be a WR3 or flex.

Danny Amendola went 8.1 and Cecil Shorts went 8.10. Go get 'em.
