Big games from Jason Witten and Rob Gronkowski highlight the PPR Target Report for Tight Ends in Week 8.
Before we take a look at the top targeted tight ends in Week 8, let's take a look at who have been the most targeted tight ends over the last three weeks to see if there are any trends developing.
Here are the Top Targeted Tight Ends over the last three weeks, but keep in mind that bye weeks can skew the numbers a bit.

With the help of his 22 target game in Week 8, Witten is the NFL leader in targets over the last three weeks with 37, and he has caught 30 of them for 295 yards, but no endzone dances.
Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is on a roll, having scored four touchdowns over the last two weeks. He has caught 20 of his 30 targets over the last three weeks , good for 285 yards. Gronkowski is become an automatic start in all leagues now.
I wrote about Raiders tight end Brandon Myers last week, and he ranks fifth among all tight ends with 20 targets over the last three week, catching 15 of Carson Palmer's passes for 155 yards and no scores. That should change going forward.

Hitting the Bullseye
Jason Witten, DAL
Witten had a monster game this week vs the Giants, as he caught 18 of his 22 targets for 167 yards and no touchdowns. For the season, Witten has caught 51 of his 72 targets for 487 yards and one touchdown. I don't see Witten getting 20+ targets in any game going forward, but he has re-established himself as one of Tony Romo's favorite targets once again.
Rob Gronkowski, NE
Gronkowski is beginning to look like the 2011 Gronk, the tight end who scored 17 touchdowns. Gronk caught eight of his 14 targets for 146 yards and two touchdowns in Week 8 vs the Rams. The Patriots have a plethora of receivers for quarterback Tom Brady to throw to, but Gronk is the only one who should start in all leagues from here on out.
Missing the Mark
Tony Gonzalez, ATL
Gonzalez caught just three of his five targets for 29 yards on Sunday vs the stingy Eagles defense. The Falcons focused on the run after building a big lead as none of the Fa lcons big three receivers, Roddy White, Julio Jones and Gonzalez, had more than five targets. After double digit targets in three of his first five games, Gonzalez has seen just 12 targets in his last two games.
