Fantasy Football 2012, Week 13: Running back rankings for PPR and standard leagues

Roster spots are valuable. Sometimes they're even more valuable than a win. That's especially true in this part of the fantasy football season, when there are a lot of fantasy football owners that have nothing to play for this week.

Everybody knows that a kicker's shelf life can be one week long, and most owners just stream them on a week-to-week basis. If you have your seed in the fantasy playoffs locked up, why even bother having one on your roster? In all my leagues where I'm in the playoffs and already looking ahead at my opponents, I'm going to cut my kicker and pick up a handcuff running back to my bench. Who cares if you get the top seed (assuming there isn't a payout bonus) when the second seed gets a bye, too?

The same can be said for defense, but I like to use my Team D/ST to plan ahead and figure out which defense I'll be targeting for my matchup in the first week of the playoffs.
