Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray took part in practice again on Thursday and appeared to be on track to return to the field in Week 13. Murray has missed the last six games with a sprained foot, which happened in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Felix Jones has been starting in place of Murray but coach Jason Garrett this week said (via The Fort Worth Star-Telegram) that Murray makes the team's running game more versatile because he's able to run the ball inside and outside. The Cowboys face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact: The Cowboys haven't said Murray will play but this is the week that beat writers have been focusing on for a possible return. Murray probably isn't in full game shape but he will be valuable to Dallas down the stretch.
If active, Murray should be considered a No. 3 running back or flex play for Week 13 because it remains unclear just how big of a role he will have.
