Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis (triceps) has been activated by the team off of the injured reserve/designated to return list. Lewis has missed nine games since suffering the injury and will still likely miss his tenth this week as the Ravens play the Bengals in the season finale.
By activating Lewis now, it allows Baltimore to have him on the playoff roster. Lewis has 57 tackles and a sack in six starts this season, his 17th in the NFL.
Fantasy Take: It was feared that the injury could end his career, but it appears that he may have at least one more fight in him. The 37-year-old is not the player he once was, and the Ravens defense is not what it once was, but Baltimore should be a better defense with him than without him.
By not playing this weekend, it gives a slight uptick to Bengals' starters, but not much.
