Fantasy Football Rankings, Week 17: Kickers

Kick your opponent to the curb with our Week 17 Kicker rankings.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Before we get to our rankings for Week 17, let's take a quick look at which kickers have been averaging a fair number of points all season. Here is a list of the top ten kickers YTD, as ranked by fantasy points per game:

Kicker (Team) Fantasy Points per Game
Josh Brown (CIN) 10.0
Stephen Gostkowski (NE) 9.9
Lawrence Tynes (NYG) 9.3
Matt Bryant(ATL) 9.2
Shayne Graham(HOU) 8.5
Jason Hanson(DET) 8.5
Justin Tucker(BAL) 8.5
Blair Walsh (MIN) 8.5
Matt Prater (DEN) 8.3
Nate Kaeding (MIA) 8.2

Another tool to help us see which kicker to choose is Fantasy Points Against. Using this, we will be able to see which defenses give up, on average, the largest amount of points per game to kickers. (For this list, I'll be using the ESPN fantasy football standard scoring system.)

1. Oakland (10.3)

2. Jacksonville (10.2)

3. Tennessee (10.1)

4. Carolina (9.9)

5. Baltimore (9.7)

Here are a couple of kickers that I believe will be sleepers and could have big games this week:

Alex Henery, Eagles- Henery had his best game of the season against the Giants in their first matchup. Last week, the Giants allowed Justin Tucker to kick for fifteen points. I think with Vick back at quarterback, Henery will be able to have a great week.

Kai Forbath, Redskins- Sticking with the NFC East, Forbath has been perfect on field goals since Washington signed him. He had nine points in his first meeting against the Cowboys and I think he'll reach double digits this week. Griffin will get Forbath in range for a few field goals.
