Fantasy football waiver wire: 3 tight ends to look at for Week 11

The fantasy tight end landscape remains as barren as ever, but here are three waiver wire players who might help you.

Otto Greule Jr

Tight end remains the thinnest position in fantasy football this season. By now, most of the early-season sleepers have already been found out, and if you're scouring the waiver wire for TE2 help in Week 11, chances are you're not in the playoff race.

Having said that, though, there are still a few options worth looking at here. None of these players will win your matchup for you, but they should be available if your roster is hurt by injuries or bye weeks.

Heath Miller, Pittsburgh Steelers (owned in 52 percent of leagues)

Miller's TE1 days may be over after his major knee surgery last year. Through seven games, he's averaging just 3.5 catches and 39.1 yards per game, with only one touchdown on the year. Still, given how thin the tight end position is this season, Miller is worth stashing as a TE2 and occasional streamer. The Steelers face the Lions this week before taking on the Browns and Ravens, so it will be an uphill climb to get Miller going.

Tim Wright, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (owned in 38 percent of leagues)

The rookie has emerged as one of Mike Glennon's favorite targets, recording 58 yards and a touchdown in Tampa's loss to the Seahawks. He's still available in plenty of leagues after the Bucs' Week 10 bye and should be squarely on the TE2 radar going forward. The Bucs get the Falcons defense this week.

Scott Chandler, Buffalo Bills (owned in 23 percent of leagues)

E.J. Manuel was dreadful in his return from a knee injury, and Chandler's stat line suffered as a result. He managed just three catches for 21 yards against the Steelers this week. However, Chandler remains a viable safety valve for the still-raw Manuel and will be facing the Jets this week. The last time these teams played each other in Week 3, Manuel hooked up with Chandler for 79 yards and a touchdown. You could do worse as a desperate TE2 play.
