Julius Thomas practices on Wednesday, fantasy status for Sunday looking positive

The Broncos tight end resumed practicing on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) was back at practice with the team on Wednesday after being held out of Monday's session, according to Broncos writer Andrew Mason. He is currently listed as questionable for the team's Week 10 game against the San Diego Chargers.

Fantasy Impact: coming off a bye week, it seems likely that Thomas will play despite being labeled as questionable for Week 10. He has emerged as a number one tight end in fantasy leagues.

A lot of that has to do with his quarterback Peyton Manning, who is having arguably the best season of his career. As a result, Thomas is on pace for 16 touchdowns and has an outside chance at going for over 1,000 yards receiving this year, which is quite an accomplishment for a Broncos tight end given that there are so many weapons in Denver's passing game.

The Chargers are known for giving up a lot of fantasy points to tight ends this year, so if Thomas plays, he would be a must start for fantasy owners. There's a good chance that a lot of points will be scored in the game given that Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers is also playing well this year, so the Week 10 matchup between the Broncos and Chargers will definitely be one to watch.
