The rookie running backs are starting to get it going with the older guys running out of gas. Cincinnati Bengals running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis hasn't topped 4.0 yards per carry in any of his last five games, nor has he scored.
Meanwhile, Giovani Bernard has a 4.4 yards per carry on the season to go with his seven scores. The Bengals have leaned on him heavily in the passing game with 16 catches in his last three games and they figure to be in a bit of a shootout with the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.
The Chiefs just scored the most points of the season on Sunday against the Chargers with 38, with Jamaal Charles going for 115 yards rushing and 42 yards receiving. The San Diego defense has also given up big days to Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris and Knowshon Moreno this month -- each with 100 yards from scrimmage.
Bernard is a must-play in PPR leagues and is a strong RB2 in standard formats. Fantasy owners should not be looking at Green-Ellis, by the way.
