If you asked about starting Josh McCown in fantasy football back in September, someone might have answered, "You mean Luke McCown, right?"
Well, Josh is going to start and he could be in for a very big day against the Minnesota Vikings. No team allows more points per game than Minnesota, who has also allowed a league-high 24 passing TDs. What's more, the Vikings defense has been getting worse with a slew of injuries -- the loss of safety Harrison Smith has been the biggest blow.
McCown is armed with some of the most dangerous weapons in the NFL. Receiver Brandon Marshall is one of the best possession receivers with his precise route running and ridiculous physical tools, and second-year receiver Alshon Jeffery has quickly been integrated into the offense more.
Fantasy impact: It's not often that a waiver-wire pickup at quarterback becomes a must-start player, but that's basically the story. He has everything working in his favor with the dome atmosphere as a cherry on top. Unless you have a no-brainer QB to start, McCown should be in most lineups.
