Knowshon Moreno, Montee Ball fail fantasy owners in Week 15

One of Moreno's worst games of the season came at a terrible time for owners. We break down the fantasy implications.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Knowshon Moreno rushed for 19 yards on eight carries against the San Diego Chargers in Week 15. He found more success in the receiving game on Thursday night, catching six passes for 41 yards on seven targets from Peyton Manning.

Moreno beat his season-low (18 yards in Week 12) by just one yard against San Diego. Montee Ball didn't do any better, rushing for minus-one yards on three carries. The rookie caught four passes for 44 yards.

Fantasy impact: Well, owners must not be thrilled with this bust of a performance. Moreno picked quite the time to let everyone down. The Broncos couldn't get anything going on the ground, and they all but abandoned the run while trailing throughout the second half.

Ball looked impressive in his last two games, but that came to a halt with this dud. PPR owners can take some solace in the 10 combined catches between these backs. That's the only positive takeaway from Thursday night.
