Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts is listed as questionable for Week 15 against the Buffalo Bills. Shorts is dealing with a groin injury and is considered a game-time decision. Shorts has played through injuries this season already, but has missed practice all week.
Shorts has caught 66 passes for 777 yards and three touchdowns this season, despite relatively poor quarterback play from ... anybody who happens to be under center at any given time. He's 200 yards short of a 1,000-yard season, though he had 979 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games a season ago.
Fantasy Impact: Shorts is Jacksonville's leading receiver by a wide margin. Justin Blackmon only played in four games this season and he's the No. 2 guy with 29 receptions for 415 yards. Clearly, Shorts being inactive should not sway fantasy owners to give one of the other Jacksonville receivers a shot at this point.
Backup options will need to be found elsewhere if you're hoping to find victory in your fantasy football playoffs. That said, there's still a chance Shorts could play, it just won't come until gameday, most likely. If he plays, Shorts is an outside WR2 option this week.
