Alshon Jeffery, fantasy owners survive with solid numbers in the return of Jay Cutler

Alshon Jeffery finished Week 15 with 72 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Cleveland Browns. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Matt Sullivan

It appears as though the return of Jay Cutler didn't hinder Alshon Jeffery's breakout season. Jeffery finished Sunday's game with 72 yards and a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns. Jeffery caught all five of his targets on the afternoon. Fellow wide receiver Brandon Marshall saw a team-high 13 targets in comparison. As encouraging as Jeffery's stat line was, it's worth noting that his five targets tied a season low. Regardless, Jeffery continues to produce. Over the last three weeks, Jeffery has an astounding 22 receptions, 405 yards and four touchdowns.

Fantasy impact: It's encouraging to see Jeffery continue his dominant play despite the change at quarterback. Fantasy owners have been rewarded with Jeffery's high level of play all season. He's a top-five producer in standard scoring formats. Regardless of who is under center in Chicago, it looks as if Jeffery will continue to build upon his impressive sophomore season. He'll be a WR1 against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16.
