Jordan Todman posts career day, surprises fantasy owners

The Jaguars running back put together quite the fantasy line against the Bills. We break down the fantasy implications.

Phil Sears-USA TODAY Sports

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Jordan Todman carried the ball 25 times for 109 yards and caught four passes for 44 yards in the team's 27-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 15. He did not find the end zone in the game despite getting 29 touches.

Fantasy impact: With teammate Maurice Jones-Drew (hamstring) sidelined, Todman stepped in and had the best game of his young career. Prior to racking up 109 rushing yards on Sunday, Todman's career-high total for rushing yards in a game was just 31.

Chances are slim that fantasy owners cashed in on the performance, unless they're in deeper leagues and had no choice but to grab Todman. That said, the Bills defense isn't great and neither team had anything to play for in this matchup.

Sometimes those kind of games can yield unlikely fantasy heroes in the postseason and that's exactly what happened with Todman. If Jones-Drew is still out next week, Todman is worth keeping an eye on.
