E.J.Manuel played through a sprained knee for Bills, fantasy football owners

Manuel injured his knee again in Week 15.

Al Messerschmidt

Buffalo Bills quarterback E.J. Manuel suffered a sprained knee in the team's 27-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, according to Joe Buscaglia of WGR550.

While this is the third time Manuel has injured his knee this season, Buscaglia reports that Bills head coach Doug Marrone does not view this as a serious injury. Manuel played through the injury on Sunday without noticeable effects.

Fantasy spin: Manuel probably shouldn't be in too many starting lineups in the fantasy football playoffs, but his injuries are worth monitoring for dynasty purposes and in order to gauge the value of the players around him. Buffalo plays Miami next week, which won't be an easy matchup.

Consider Manuel a shaky start going forward, regardless of his injury status. His progress also stagnated a bit this season, so his longterm potential in dynasty leagues may be dwindling as well. If he continues getting banged up at this pace, he'll need to revert to more pocket passing.
