Victor Cruz misses practice Wednesday, likely out for remainder of fantasy postseason

The Browns tight end missed practice on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz (knee/concussion) will not practice on Wednesday according to report by ESPN's Dan Graziano. Cruz had just two catches for 25 yards before leaving last week's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Impact: It has been quite a tough year for the Giants in general and that includes Cruz. He's only had a reason to do the salsa in the end zone four times this year. Three of his scores mind you came in the opening game of the season.

Considering he's scored 19 times in the last two seasons combined, his totals this year have dropped off sharply to say the least. Cruz's struggles aren't just evident in his lack of touchdowns, it also has to do with yardage and receptions.

If Cruz doesn't play in the last two games of the season, he will finish with less than 1,000 yards receiving and under 80 catches for the first time in his career. With the Giants having nothing to play for this year, fantasy owners should explore other options.
