Matt Forte has solid fantasy effort in loss to Vikings

The Bears running back posted another all-around solid fantasy stat line. We break down the fantasy implications.

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sport

Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte carried the ball 23 times for 120 yards and caught two passes for 31 yards in a 23-20 overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13. His biggest play of the day was a 41-yard run.

Fantasy impact: Forte has incredible fantasy value in leagues that reward receptions. He's just so versatile. Even though he didn't find the end zone against the Vikings, he still made fantasy owners happy.

There's good news and bad news for Forte's owners the rest of the season. The good news is that he finishes the season against the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers, two teams that don't shy away from giving up points.

The not-so-good news is that the Bears play the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns in the next two weeks, two pretty good defenses.

Either way, Forte should put up numbers, so his fantasy owners need not fret about anything. Start him as you normally would the rest of the way.
