Peyton Manning rewards fantasy owners with five touchdowns in Week 13

Peyton Manning finished Sunday's game with 403 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

It was just another day at the office for Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning on Sunday. Manning finished Week 13 with 403 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions in Denver's win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Even with tight end Julius Thomas sidelined and Wes Welker somewhat absent from the game plan, Manning was able to exploit the Chiefs defense all afternoon.

Manning targeted Eric Decker a team-high 12 times. Decker accounted for 174 yards and four of Manning's touchdown passes. Manning's only other touchdown pass went to running back Knowshon Moreno. Manning now has an astounding 41 touchdowns and just nine interceptions through 12 games.

Fantasy impact: Sunday's performance from Manning only proves that he's a must-start every week regardless of the matchup. As daunting as Kansas City's defense seemed, Manning is simply a quarterback you cannot bench. With both matchups against the Chiefs behind him for the regular season, fantasy owners should move into the fantasy playoffs starting their elite fantasy quarterback with confidence.
