Jamaal Charles churns out fantasy production in loss to Broncos

The Broncos wide receiver did his damage with limited opportunities against the Chiefs in Week 13. We break down the fantasy implications.

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles carried the ball 19 times for 93 yards and a touchdown in the team's 35-28 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 13. He also caught two passes for 27 yards in the contest.

Fantasy impact: Charles is without a doubt the engine that drives the Chiefs' offense. He averaged 4.9 per carry in the game and was able to do what he gets paid to do.

The Broncos generally aren't as good at defending the run as you'd expect from an elite team, so the Chiefs only chance to keep the game close was to exploit that.

As usual though, the Chiefs' passing game was less than stellar in the game and no match for the Broncos. An elite running game can only do so well if the pass attack isn't there in support of it.
