Torrey Smith limited in practice again, remains on track to suit up Sunday for Ravens, fantasy owners

The Ravens' speedy receiver appeared on the injury report for the first time in the 2013 season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Patrick Smith

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith was limited in practice for the second straight day on Thursday.

Smith popped up on the injury report on Wednesday with a thigh injury and was subsequently limited in practice for the first time this season.  With that, there have been no indications that Smith is in any danger of missing the team's "win and in" game versus the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Given Smith's history of suiting up for games and the fact that the Ravens will need all hands on deck with their season on the line, it remains unlikely they will be without their No. 1 receiver or any game time.

Fantasy Spin: The bigger concern for Smith's fantasy owners is the play of quarterback Joe Flacco, who was visibly hampered by his newly braced knee during the team's 41-7 loss to the New England Patriots. Smith was able to explode for yards after the catch and totaled 69 receiving yards, but his production has tapered off after a fast start to the season.

The Ravens have scored just one touchdown over the last two games, and Smith has been held out of the end zone in four of his last five contests. Despite the sputtering, Smith remains in WR2 territory and his explosiveness will always make him a high-upside fantasy play.
