Cleveland Browns tight end Jordan Cameron (concussion) is listed as questionable for the team's Week 17 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cameron was cleared for practice but still needs approval from an independent neurologist to play.
Fantasy Impact: Cameron's status is murky and he could be heading toward a game-time decision. The Browns don't have anything to play for, and they could be looking at a tricky situation if they play Cameron.
With his inconsistent production ever since the second half of the season, Cameron will be one fewer problem for fantasy owners to worry about if he is ruled out. He only had one TE1 performance in the second half, which came in Week 14. Excluding that outlier, Cameron hasn't had more than 43 yards or a single touchdown since Week 8.
Pittsburgh presents a solid match up for tight ends. However, owners need to think hard before starting Cameron if he is cleared to play. Quarterback Jason Campbell always struggled to get Cameron heavily involved and the situation presents little upside in this meaningless game. Cameron's athletic ability always makes him a boom-or-bust option but he's only a TE2 option this week if active. Owners need to have a backup ready to go.
