Torrey Smith expected to play for Ravens, fantasy owners in Week 17

After dealing with a thigh injury this week, Baltimore's top receiver should be in action for the regular season finale. We break down the fantasy implications.

Patrick Smith

Torrey Smith has been battling a thigh injury leading up to Week 17's matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals, but he appeared as a limited participant in practice throughout the week. Despite a questionable tag, the Baltimore Ravens No. 1 wideout is expected play Sunday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Smith needs 101 yards to break Michael Jackson's franchise record for receiving yards in a single season. The third-year receiver has already set career highs with 62 receptions for 1,101 yards.

Fantasy impact: Regardless of inconsistency, Smith made a decent impact in 2013 for fantasy owners. He only has four touchdowns, as finding the end zone has been more problematic in his third season. One of those scores, though, came against his Week 17 opponent.

In four career games against the Bengals, Smith has posted two double-digit outings and two complete duds. He's a somewhat risky play for your championship with Joe Flacco still dealing with knee soreness, but unless you have a superior option at wide receiver, you're probably starting him.
