New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees threw for 147 yards and one touchdown in a beat down against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. Brees went 23 of 38 and only averaged 3.9 yards per pass though he was only sacked once. He also gave up an awful fumble recovery for a touchdown to start the game. It is Brees' worst passing performance since he went 13 of 32 for 132 yards and a touchdown against the New York Giants on Christmas Eve. Brees went into the Monday Night contest averaging 317.3 yards per game and 2.3 touchdowns per game.
Fantasy impact: Seattle is a tough place to play for anyone to visit, but Brees was virtually shut down by the Seahawks defense. This performance does nothing to mar his must start status but the Saints do have two tough games coming up against the Carolina Panthers. The good news is that they are better at home and start with the Panthers in New Orleans in Week 14. The Panthers are giving up the second least fantasy points to quarterbacks.
