Eddie Royal injury update: WR questionable, likely won't play for fantasy owners

The Chargers wide receiver is questionable and could miss Week 14. We break down the fantasy implications.

San Diego Chargers wide receiver Eddie Royal (toe, chest) is listed as questionable and likely won't play in the team's Week 14 game against the New York Giants. Royal didn't practice at all this week and missed last week's game as well.

Fantasy Impact: Royal had been a relatively consistent slot receiver for the Chargers. He has seven touchdowns on the year, although five of them came in the first two weeks. With Royal out, Seyi Ajirotutu will likely see more snaps as well as tight end Ladarius Green. San Diego has been going with more two tight end sets in an effort to get Green on the field more. Green is an athletic wonder at 6 feet, 6 inches and a 4.4 time in the 40 so it's smart for the Chargers find ways to get him on the field.

Green is definitely worth an add at this point. He's had five catches over the last two weeks, two of which went for scores, and he's averaging an absurd 22.1 yards per catch on the season. He's right on the cusp of a breakout performance. Scoop him up before its too late.
