Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson missed practice on Thursday with an injury to his ribs, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Jackson missed practice on Wednesday as well, but there's not a lot of evidence to suggest he's in danger of missing the team's Week 6 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
Jackson has been banged up all season but has played in all five games, with his best one coming against the New Orleans Saints in Week 5. Jackson caught eight of the 12 passes thrown his way for 144 yards, though he didn't find the end zone. He has just two touchdowns on the season.
Fantasy Impact: Jackson missing practice could be significant, but it's more likely that the Buccaneers are simply comfortable giving the 10-year veteran plenty of rest and time to recover. Jackson hasn't been as productive as expected this season, but the Ravens have a weak pass defense and Jackson could be in line for a big fantasy day. He's a must-start unless some surprise news changes his playing status prior to Sunday's game.
