It's been a few years that we've all been waiting for the demise of San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore. Well, it still hasn't happened yet, as he's a solid No. 2 fantasy back in standard leagues.
While Gore does have a handful of letdown games, he's usually come through in the good matchups. In Week 11, he'll get another one against the New York Giants in New Jersey. The Giants are the second-best matchup for fantasy running backs and are coming off one of the worst games of any rush defense this season.
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch had a massive four-score game against the Giants last week as the Seattle backs racked up a whopping 243 rushing yards. The 49ers should have a lot of success and could also flirt with 200 yards thanks to a strong offensive line.
However, will Carlos Hyde get in the mix? He did have four carries for 36 yards and a score last week and does have three double-digit carry games. Still, his carries have really dropped in the past three weeks, so it should be mostly Gore.
Fantasy impact: If you're in a standard league, you should definitely start Gore. PPR owners might want to consider him as a RB18-20 this week.
