Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: Philip Rivers

He left his fantasy owners with a very, very bad taste in their mouths before a Week 10 bye, but should they forgive Philip Rivers and start him this week?

Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins did not go well for San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers. He actually had negative fantasy points with four turnovers, no scores and only 138 passing yards. Rivers had a Week 10 bye and he'll get a little easier matchup against the Oakland Raiders this week.

Before that Week 9 dud, Rivers averaged 2.7 passing touchdowns since Week 2 and was in the hunt for MVP in his best professional season. Basically, he gets a pass for that game and the Week 10 bye probably did more help than harm.

He gets one of his favorite matchups against the Raiders, who he lit up for 313 passing yards and three touchdowns in Week 6. Plus, that was in Oakland, so he should have similar success in San Diego.

Fantasy impact: He's just been too good to bench and his body of work makes him a must-start player as a top-six option in almost all leagues.
