Sunday was the Cincinnati Bengals' third game since wide receiver A.J. Green returned to action. It was also the second straight game that wide receiver Mohamed Sanu struggled to get points. Sanu wasn't very involved in the team's offense as the Bengals beat the New Orleans Saints 27-10.
Whereas Sanu's struggles in Week 10 could have been explained away by the fact that the entire Bengals team had a no-show, Sanu just wasn't very involved as the team did better Sunday. He caught three passes on six targets in the game for 23 yards, his second straight game with two fantasy points.
Fantasy impact: Early in the season, Sanu had good fantasy value even with Green on the field, but much of his performance came on fluke plays (like his touchdown pass to Andy Dalton in Week 3). Later, when Green was hurt, Sanu became the team's top receiver. But now, with Green back on the field and the fluke plays no longer happening as much, Sanu has faded.
Considering the injury risk Green represents, Sanu has to be owned in fantasy leagues, but with his usage fading, it will be very hard to start him.
