Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 12: Charles Johnson emerges with Greg Jennings injured

Charles Johnson produced some noteworthy numbers in Week 11. We take a look at his fantasy value moving forward.

Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater threw for only 158 yards in Week 11, and wide receiver Charles Johnson accounted for 87 of them. Receiver Greg Jennings left the game with a rib injury and did not return. Despite Bridgewater's poor play, Johnson managed to salvage a noteworthy stat line. With receiver Jarius Wright suffering a hamstring injury, Johnson could possibly be in store for a healthy snap count in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy impact: Even desperate owners in deeper leagues should find better options than Johnson moving forward. It isn't that Johnson lacks the talent, it's just that there is very little hope for sustainable output from any Vikings offensive players on a weekly basis. Bridgewater has been underwhelming, and Jennings was the closest thing to a No. 1 receiver on the Vikings offense, and even Jennings was barely a WR3. It's worth remembering Johnson's performance if the Vikings make a change at quarterback in 2015. At best, he's a reach as a streamer in Week 12 if Jennings and Wright can't suit up.
