Dwayne Allen misses practice Wednesday; fantasy status for Sunday looking bleak

The Colts' tight end left the team's Week 11 game and did not practice Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday, according to Colts' beat writer Mike Chappell. Allen left the game against the New England Patriots in Week 11 before he could record a catch.

Fantasy Impact: Entering Week 11, Allen had scored a touchdown in six of the previous seven games, so although he hasn't recorded more than four receptions for 64 yards in a contest, he's been a reliable option this year, particularly in deeper leagues.

It doesn't look like he's going to play this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and even if he does, Allen could be limited since high ankle sprains are tricky to deal with.

Should Allen be forced to sit out, Coby Fleener will take his place in the starting lineup. Fleener caught all seven passes thrown his way last week for a season-high 144 yards. Fantasy owners should definitely pick him up if he is available on the waiver wire.
