Joique Bell absent from practice Wednesday, fantasy status worth keeping an eye on

The Lions' running back is dealing with an ankle injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, according to Rotoworld.com. Bell had 14 carries for 85 yards in the team's Week 11 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Impact: Bell wasn't listed on the postgame injury report following the defeat, so it's unclear when Bell hurt his ankle and how bad the injury might be.

Further complicating matters for Bell's fantasy owners is the fact that teammate Reggie Bush (ankle) returned to practice on Wednesday. He was held out last week in an effort to try to get him back to 100 percent, which means that Bell could find his carries limited even if he does play in Week 12 against the New England Patriots.

As it stands right now, it's best to check in on Thursday for an updated injury report before making a decision on whether or not to use Bell. Fantasy owners are more likely to get value out of him than Bush is both play in Week 12, just based on a better record of health and consistency to this point in the season.
